46th Annual RSA Scientific Meeting in Bellevue, Washington
We are thrilled to announce the participation and achievements of our lab members at the 46th Annual RSA (Research Society on Alcoholism) Scientific Meeting held from June 24-28, 2023, in Bellevue, Washington. Dr. Michelle Doyle presented her research through a poster titled "Individual differences in addiction-like behaviors and sensitivity to ethanol in dependent and nondependent heterogenous stock rats," co-authored with Selen Dirik, Angelica Martinez, Caitlin Crook, Abraham Palmer, and Giordano de Guglielmo. Michelle's outstanding contribution was recognized with the prestigious Larry Parson’s Award and the RSoA Travel Award, underscoring her significant impact in the field of alcohol research.
Additionally, Dr. Giordano de Guglielmo delivered an insightful talk on "Preclinical Efficacy of Nezavist on Operant Responding for Ethanol in Dependent Rats" during the session titled "From Gut to Brain AUD Treatment: What Happens in Vagus Goes to Your Brain". This presentation highlighted innovative approaches to understanding and treating alcohol use disorder.
